The rumours of Canadian manufacturing’s demise are greatly exaggerated. Proof: The sector accounts for nearkly a fifth of the firms 2016 PROFIT 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies.

The 95 manufacturing firms on this year’s ranking grew their revenues an average of 602% between 2010 and 2015, creating an additional 5,109 full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs over that period. Collectively they employed 8,529 full-time and 1,185 part-time employees in 2015.
