The country’s business capital hosts some of its most dynamic and entrepreneurial firms. Among them: The city’s representatives on the 2016 PROFIT 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. Fully a fifth of the names on this year’s list hail from Toronto proper, while two-fifths call the Greater Toronto Area home.

The 195 firms based in the GTA on this year’s ranking grew their revenues an average of 649% between 2010 and 2015, creating an additional 12,053 full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs over that period. Collectively they employed 29,115 full-time and 3,982 part-time employees in 2015.
