If you're reading this, there's a good chance you won't unplug fully from your business even if you take a holiday this summer. Market-research firm Angus Reid estimates from an online survey that 41% of Canadian entrepreneurs and small business owners who plan to take a summer holiday expect to spend from one to three hours per day working.
Regus Canada, office-space provider, commissioned the survey of 1,005 Canadian adults. Across the entire adult population, 38% of respondents who expect to work during a summer holiday said they would prefer to do so at the cottage, 18% while camping and 16% lying on a beach.
While working at the cottage, may be preferable to working at the office on a hot summer's day, it's not ideal for getting away and recharging your batteries.
